cherry: (music (out of my head))
[personal profile] cherry
Well, this is clearly not my studying for tomorrow morning's final.

When I study, I have to have music. If I don't use music to shut out everything around me, I just can't concentrate. Bizarrely enough, I'm more distracted by silence that caterwauling. Only problem is that I've reached the point with my current music collection where I just can't listen to it anymore.

As such, I'm asking for music recommendations. The last few things added to my music library have been random Cuban/Celtic/Latin music, a best of Johnny Cash, some hip hop, Dixie Chicks, Muse, Brand New, Disney, k-os, random indie and post-punk, random folk, and random classical.

Basically, what I'm telling you is that I'm easy, and open to suggestion.

Wheee! Thank you.

I kind of actually love it all. I've been meaning to check out TPC and Wolf Parade because they keep coming up on those 'people who like what you like are also interested in _____' things. The Buck 65 is a little weird because I'm in love with k-os' Atlantis - Hymns for Disco, and one of my favourite tracks on the album features Buck 65. Of course, that might have been what made you think on it. Is the rest of Secret House Against the World as good?

So, in conclusion: I love it all, and I love you. If you were to want to pass whole albums and/or other songs along, I might love you even more.

We can trade, yo. Do you have A-HfD? Or is there anything random, genre-wise, you might be interested in?

I am working on uploading some .zip files of full albums, but my uploading speed here is sloooooooow. Here is Tokyo Police Club for now and I will post more later. :D

The rest of Secret House... is totally awesome, I have zipped it and will send it too. And yay for Wolf Parade because it is my favouritest album of a long, long time.

I don't have k-os's album, actually, would love that if you have the time! But no worries if you're busy studying cos honestly, I just love sharing music about.

Also, if you were looking for some Christmas music, check out 8 Bits of Christmas - yeah, holiday songs done in 8bit video game music. It's hilariously awesome and you can download the tracks there on the website. :)

Here are two more: Apologies to the Queen Mary by Wolf Parade, and Secret House Against The World by Buck 65. Both full albums, both 65 MB. I am going to post everything on my journal too. :D

I am snagging them all, thank you! Slowly, because I do not want the university network to catch on, no. Thank you ever so much. Would it be all right if I uploaded A-HfD tomorrow for you, after my exam?

I've screened a post here with two links in it, to random .zips files. They were done for a friend who was in an accident, but I don't want the downloads to go to waste -- I'm just trying to monitor how many have gone. They're a bit more mainstream than most of my music, and really quite incredibly random.

Thank you! I listen to a huge variety of stuff so I know there'll be some stuff I'll like in there for sure. :) And no worries on A-HfD, if you have time at all, that's cool. :)

So, it turns out YSI now allows 100 DLS, so I feel silly for screening it. Let me know if it didn't go through. *G*

Last ones, and now my computer needs a break, hee.

Unmixed 2 by Verve (jazz compilation); Shut Up I Am Dreaming by Sunset Rubdown; and Alligator by The National.

Enjoy!
