Well, this is clearly not my studying for tomorrow morning's final.
When I study, I have to have music. If I don't use music to shut out everything around me, I just can't concentrate. Bizarrely enough, I'm more distracted by silence that caterwauling. Only problem is that I've reached the point with my current music collection where I just can't listen to it anymore.
As such, I'm asking for music recommendations. The last few things added to my music library have been random Cuban/Celtic/Latin music, a best of Johnny Cash, some hip hop, Dixie Chicks, Muse, Brand New, Disney, k-os, random indie and post-punk, random folk, and random classical.
Basically, what I'm telling you is that I'm easy, and open to suggestion.

The... seven most recent posts ought to be the ones with working links. If you don't/can't find something you can live with in there somewhere, I shall make a crying (or about to cry) Al icon just so I can use it at you.

I don't know if I've ever sent you a Fourplay or Magic Dirt album? If not, I'll upload them. The first are a string quartet and do great covers of songs. The Doctor Who theme is great. You've probably already heard me rave about Augie March and Davie Bridie. I think I've sent those over already, anyway.
These two are study related. For me, at least. THIS -atra, tatra - was stuck in my head for weeks when I was studying sanskrit. It's annoying as all hell, I really dislike it and can still translate it and I probably shouldn't share it because it Doesn't. Ever. Go. Away. Much like the filked version of Breakfast at Tiffany's, Breakfast with Cicero that a former housemate came up with never fails to get stuck in my head for weeks at a time.
Speaking of Cicero, here's something in latin. :) Gaudete, sung by Medieval Babes. Great version of the song.
Weather With You by Crowded House. 80's pop rock at its finest. They're a New Zealand band but it's still one of those great pub songs, like anything by Cold Chisel or Hunters and Collectors. Every Australian in the pub will start singing if that's on. Although, give me enough beer and I'll sing 'Aussie, Aussie, Aussie! Oy, oy, oy!' with the best of them, too, so maybe that's not a good recomendation?
Speaking of Hunters and Collectors, here's their second ever big hit in the 80's - Holy Grail.
Lastly, Twitch's 'Two Weeks'. Australian Indie pub rock band.
